WMI Central.com, hosted by Barbara Bruce, featured the Arts Alliance of the White Mountains in a recent video. B.J. Caldwell, one of our member artists was interviewed. Take a virtual tour and learn about the Center for the Arts. Then come visit in person to experience all the wonderful locally-created art, first-hand!
The Arts Alliance of the White Mountains (AAWM) was basically homeless for 14 years. Formed in 1999 for the purpose of promoting a strong year-round interest in and support for the visual, performing, and media arts in the White Mountains. We had space at the Senior Center in Show Low and displayed in shows at various locations on the mountain.
We opened the gallery at the Center for the Arts in June 2013. The building is a long-term lease from Navajo County and we couldn’t be happier.
The Center for the Arts houses the artwork of White Mountain Artists. At any time there are approximately 40 artists with their work at the Center. Art is changed out by our Artists regularly so there’s always something new to see.
So…..need to update your home? We’ve got the art for you! How about a birthday gift you need to pick up? Maybe a wedding or graduation gift you need to pick up? Of course, there is always holiday shopping!
You could spend hours wandering our gallery checking out the paintings, photography, ceramics, wood carvings, wood turned, and jewelry. The level of talent in this small community is amazing. Come by and spend a little time.
Then there’s the Gift Shop!
We have fresh, innovative art in the Gift Shop. We have new gifts provided for the shop weekly so stopping frequently is a great idea! Items in the gift shop include cards, books, wood-turned bowls, etched glass, stained and fused glass, fairies, and much more. Stop by to check us out!
