Are YOU the best cookie baker on the mountain?

The Arts Alliance of the White Mountains and the Center for the Arts, along with Barbara Bruce of the White Mountain Independent, are hosting the AAWM 1st Annual Cookie Bake-off on December 9, 2018 from 1pm to 5pm.

Barbara hosted the Believe Show Cookie Bake-off for several years while working in radio. She came to the Center to offer her expertise and contacts to re-ignite the Bake-off. Sponsors include The Maverick Magazine, the White Mountain Independent, KVSL Radio, White Mountain Coffee News and Walmart. KVSL Rewind will have a live broadcast at the Center on 108FM for the afternoon.

Entries are limited to the first 25 people applying and the on-line registration form is available HERE. A print copy is also available at the Center for the Arts, 251 Penrod Road in Show Low. Judges include Nikki for Persnickety’s, Karen from Karen’s Bake Shop and Mina from Hushhh Bakery. Prizes will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place as well as a People’s Choice award. Prizes will be donated by local businesses.

Santa will be available for photo opportunities with professional photographers and for a donation; the photo can be emailed to the parents. Christmas music will be provided by Brad Solomon and the Native Flute players that meet at the Center for the Arts.

Tables are available (and mostly booked) for up to 18 Local Christmas Artisan Vendors with unique gift options who are interested in selling art, crafts and Christmas gifts. There will also be coffee and hot chocolate for sale by Arizona Mountain Coffee on site.
